Romethia
Name: Romethia (Roe-mE-thIa)
Age: 22 Turns
Gender: Female
Prisoner: Yes
Crime: Dust Manufacture and use
Craft/Rank: Apprentice Healer
Appearance: Romethia is a medium sized person, not too big, nor too small. There's nothing outstanding about her appearance, but the overall effect is pleasing to the eye in a average sort of way. She has olive skin, which tans nicely under the sun. Her face is wide set, centering around a set of almond shaped green eyes. Her nose is small, and upturned at the end a little bit. Her lips are full, and a peachy color. Dark brown hair shaggily highlights her face. She is the kind of woman that is neither skinny nor plump, but still manages to be nicely rounded where it counts. She stands about 5'7".
Personality: Romethia is the type of person who needs someone to praise her for what she's done. She won't get anything done of she's only doing it for herself. She really needs something to push her to get things
accomplished. On that same note, Ro will do almost anything you ask of her. She's just willing to help with whatever needs doing, or not doing and you just want it done. Ro lives to help others, it gives her a reason to be alive, especially after her experience with Dust.
All that being said, Romethia does have a backbone when it comes to her morals. She now refuses to have anything to do with Dust, other than helping new prisoners detoxify. She will tell you her stories, nice and sweet stories compared to some of the other inmates, but they are her horror stories because how could she do that to other human beings?
Ro isn't shy, by any means, she can be fairly charming in a naive sort of way. She tends to speak before thinking about what she's going to say, bluntness stemming from her concern for people more than any ulterior motive. On days that Ro isn't her normal rather cheerful self, she tends to act very jaded about life in Warden's Weyr and her life when she was on Dust. She also clings to her sobriety like a drowning cat clings to a piece of wood - nothing can get between her and being sober. Not even alcohol.
History: Romethia had a uneventful childhood, though she was sheltered by her parents for some things, like Dust. Her father was a steward of a smaller hold, and he was able to keep her away from the sad things in life. She just was too happy a child to want to learn more about the bad side of people, her parents felt, and they didn't want to ruin that. So they didn't, and that was that in her small world. However, when she turned 12, they decided to let their wonderful only child apprentice early to the Healercraft.
Shortly after that, Romethia found a talent in making medicinal mixtures and other medicines. She loved learning at the Healerhall, everyone was so happy that she was good at this and that, and she did everything they wanted her to. She thrived on it for many Turns, studying diligently and doing her best. She was going to make everyone so proud of her, that was her only goal.
After 4 Turns, a Journeyman returned to the hall, a man by the name of Tashel. He was skinny, but there was just something about him that had all the girls there talking about him. He spent several days talking to the masters, and then several sevendays in the hall, reconnecting to his friends and old flames. He took a strange liking to hanging around the laboratories where Romethia worked, and she could often feel him watching her while she was there. After a few sevendays of the strange behavior, one of the medicinal masters pulled her aside and told her she would be going with Journeyman Tashel to the hold where he was stationed to work on stocking the medicinal supplies there.
After a uneventful trip to the hold, Romethia discovered that Tashel only wanted her because of her skills. He dosed her heavily with Dust the day that they arrived in the hold, a common thing it seemed like. After a few days on it, Romethia felt like she couldn't live without it. Tashel used her to produce high grade Crackdust whenever they had the supplies for it. Romethia feels like she had no control over this part of her life, she was just such a slave to the drug, never having imbibed anything else in her young life yet. She was addicted to Dust at 17 Turns old.
It took almost 3 Turns for the Dragon Watch to find anything out about the Dust ring, and another half Turn of being on the run with Tashel for them to be caught. Tashel kept Ro dosed so she would be amiable to anything he needed her for. Lucky for Ro, Tashel didn't see fit to abuse his best Dust maker. Other dealers would have felt differently. When the Dragon Watch apprehended the ring, Romethia was 20 Turns old. Before she was 21, she was sent to the newly opened Warden Weyr.
Her first sevenday at the Weyr was spent in detox, where she came off of a 4 Turn high on dust. It was rough, and she nearly died several times in the process. She had multiple seizures, each one of them bringing her closer to reality once more. After the grueling time there, she was taken to meet the Warden, a man prematurely graying and acting much older than he should be. He was the first person Romethia met while sober in years.
It was the most relieving thing for her. It meant she was free of Tashel, free of Dust. Now she would devote herself to using her skills in healing to help others who came in going through withdrawals, and just generally help others in the Weyr. Her partial training in the Healercraft makes her useful in the infirmary, at first she was under heavy supervision, then over the months she gained trust and now the staff in the infirmary trusts her as much as they trust any inmate. Maybe more. Romethia loves to help them, and she does whatever needs doing - including all the tedious chores that no one else wants to do.
In the 2 Turns Ro has been in Warden Weyr, she has done much to prove herself. She has never caused any trouble for the guards, nor the Healerstaff she works with. Now, she has been especially careful so she can stand for the clutch on the sands, seeing this as a way to give her more of a purpose in life. It would give her something to take care of, something to do everyday, which is something she really needs.
Knighth
[/color]Name:Knighth
Color: Pink FF00CC
Age: Hatchling
Romethiamine, do not let him scare you! Your Knighth will protect you!
Fairy Tale All Prince Charmings.
Appearance:
He's frigging pink. For a Pink, Knighth is large, leaving him along the lines of a huge brown or a smallish bronze. Cotton candy pink with a darker red, heart shaped chest and a dark pink sock, Knighth pulls it off with a thickly muscled and agile frame. Long neck, large claws, they all finish the picture.
Personality:
This boy loves himself the ladies - greens, golds, and even the little grays (they start with a 'g', after all!). He has no concept of keeping to himself or 'personal space'; people were meant to be talked to, not ignored. Knighth doesn't love females just because but rather because they are each individual and lovely and, yes, he goes out of his way to know all of their names, likes, dislikes, and what they're looking for in their Main Man. Although he has his Damsel in Distress, Knighth doesn't mind pretending to be the star of the show for the other lonely females.
Knighth is notoriously difficult to depress; negativity tends to roll right off his large shoulders and even if he acknowledges the fact that something is indeed truly wrong, he will meet it with a mental shrug. And pragmatic; "Let's find out how to fix it. Then we can do. It!" the idea of someone flat-out disliking hime confuses the boy; its up to His to explain why the individual isn't keen on him
He's Prince Charming, after all! Isn't he the hero of this story?
On the topic of Damsels in distress, this boy is a fan; he will be the first to dash off in a gallant manner to rescue some poor small green caught in the sand or snap at a prisoner for daring speak too harshly to a female. Prisoner, guard, handler, dragon, or wher, they matter not to Knighth , if you are disrespecting a female (or particularily feminine male), you'll have the Pink to deal with. Calling him a misogynist would be a deep insult to Knighth; he simply wants to protect.
Unfortunetly, Knighth is not the brightest of dragons. While he can think on his feet and pull off some rather brilliant strategic moves when the situation calls for it, if a person asked Knighth later how he thought of it, how he pulled it off, the Pink would have no idea how to explain or even how to do the same stunt twice. Sarcasm goes over his head, math equations will make him hate you, and the idea of bias due to color is far beyond his brainwaves. Long story short: the boy is a bruiser, a lover, but he ain't a thinker.
This also leads to Knighth being extremely gullible. He will believe everything Iiateth tells him and defends her claims with the same conviction he faces all other obstacles in life; Djinth will find easy prey to practice on with this easy going boy. His will need to take care of him, to keep him from being sucked in to too many tricks and teach him that not all girls are good and not all men are noble.
Some may consider Knighth to be two dimensional and they would be correct, to some extent: it's hard to see past the overenthusiastic and girl-loving personality that most would consider a 'stereotypical' Bronze sort. And, true, Knighth doesn't go out of his way to prove them wrong. He has a sweet heart and good intentions, always striving for perfection in himself and for His as she will need the very best dragon he can be.
While not the sharpest nail on the claw and as innocent as a baby, at the very least Knighth can always be found standing by his very firm convictions, his friends, and His.
Also, he's freaking pink.
Why Me? Romethia is his damsel in distress, his shining light! Knighth very much loves the fact that she has such a tight hold of her morals and that she wants very much to please others. so does he! But, poor dear, she needs someone to keep her safe, keep her protected from the Big Bads. She will find someone to guard her in Knighth, her true Knight in Shining Armor.
