There were some who'd say that it was inappropriate to have a thirteen-year-old walking around the prison and, frankly, L'vey was one of those people. However, he was not quite enough one of those people to decide to hold his meeting with Amisi outside the prison walls. There was a point being made here and for the love of little green dragons, he was going to make it.
He stood in the rec yard in the bright afternoon sun, Kin settled on his shoulders. The firelizard watched the prisoners in the area with disinterest. They didn't have food. And there were, actually, quite a few prisoners hanging about, with the hatching growing closer, many of the chores that prisoners were permitted to do were being moved inside the prison walls. No one wanted the eggs to start rocking when there were work crews out. Mind, it wasn't that imminent, but imminent enough to take precautions. The prevailing notion was that the eggs would hatch together, one clutch often set another off, especially if they were laid only weeks apart.
Shall I send for her? Faeth was only on the other side of the prison wall. If she wanted to, she could land in the rec yard, but neither of them wanted to get in the prisoners' way. So she waited outside, occasionally standing on her back legs and peering over.
Yes. And tell the Guard at the gate that she's to be escorted to me here.
Young one, the Weyrlingmaster awaits you in the prison recreation area. You are to be escorted to him. No wandering about on your own. Hurry now! Faeth followed that message with a quick comment to the guard at the gate, and the two awaited the young girl.

Amisi yawned, rubbing her eyes blearily as she made her rapid way towards the prison's recreation yard. Spots and Stripe flew directly above her head, keeping a sharp eye out on everyone around Theirs. They'd let nothing hurt her, no one hurt her. Rawr and all that stuff. Stripe chirped authoritatively at her, disliking where His was going. No, no, no this wasn't right, this wasn't right at all. She wasn't supposed to be going there, she would get hurt. Faugh, when he was her age he knew better than to do stupid things like this. It was a stupid thing she was doing, and he was going to show his displeasure at her doing so until she turned around!
The grump blue settled down on her head, clinging to her hair and vocally making his displeasure at her decisions known. Amisi just ignored him, blue skirt swirling around her ankles. Spots continued his aerial following, keeping his eye out for anyone he would need to between to and claw the face off of, if they looked at His wrong. He was justice, he was honor. He would protect His with everything in him from anything that got in her way, from murderous clowns and half-plant people and crazy doctors. Anything. Amisi ignored him too, smiling at the guard who began surreptitiously folllowing her as she walked into the recreation yard.
Yes, she was now surrounded by prisoners. But the really dangerous ones were guarded, and those that weren't guarded wouldn't like Stripe and Spots, or her, should she get a hand free.
"You wanted to see me, L'vey?" Amisi asked, letting Spots settle around her neck, glaring at everyone much as Stripe was from the top of her head.
