Alright. It's May 1st somewhere. Time to unveil a bit of what's coming up in the next few months!
First, we're skipping spring. We're jumping straight into Summer on May 15th, which'll bring the Jr. Weyrlings up to 9-12 months. This is important.
Why is it important? Because Iiateth, our little Opal, will be old enough for her first flight. And yes, boys and girls, Opals do clutch.
However, Opals are a bit different. Gold flight emotions are strong and tend to have a low level effect on the entire Weyr. Opal flights are significantly stronger. The entire Weyr will be, at the least, very... distracted by certain thoughts. Any male dragon old enough to chase (which will be all of them) will chase. Yes, all of them. Regardless of their usual habits. If you do not want your character's dragon to have been involved in the flight (which will not be RPed), find a reason for them to be away from the Weyr. In addition, any proddy greens will also Fly. Expect fights.
This will, understandably, cause a lot of chaos. And, because Jessan is a bright young woman, she'll be taking advantage of said chaos to put her plans into motion. That's right. The breakout will be during Iiateth's Flight. And yes, criminals and defenders both will have to cope with being Flight addled while they escape or attempt to prevent escape.
Shortly after the Flight/escape, Semith will be having her second Run. That's right. The next hatching will be a double clutch.
And shortly after both clutches are laid, the Outlaws will be sneaking back to Warden to steal some of the eggs.
So, that's the summary! For details on these subjects, please check the related threads in the 'Breakout' subforum of the 'Plotting' thread.
Which will be up, well, soonish.
