Semith, the Weyr's crippled queen has Run and been caught by blue Mordanth. Mordanth's rider T'di now stands, despite objections, as Weyrleader. Admittedly, his power, like the Weyrwoman's, is nearly non-existent.
And, as if that weren't bad enough, Semith's gone and laid a clutch. Which, being Semith, she's promptly buried! No one is entirely sure how many eggs there are, though there look to be nearly twenty mounds of sand on the hatching grounds. There's even one mound that Semith seems particularly proud of. A queen egg? Surely not!
As Candidates are in short supply, and Warden's Weyr isn't allowed to search, L'vey, the Weyrlingmaster, has come up with a rather odd solution.
Prisoners are going to be allowed to stand for the clutch, side-by-side with the Weyr's more law abiding residents.
Will they impress? Will the eggs even hatch in the first place? Debates are running high on all subjects.
OOC Notes
-The Fairytale Clutch is on the sands. Candidates can be crafters, Guards, and even (non-violent) prisoners! The Touching is soon to come, and one can only hope that, once the candidates are allowed on the sands, the number of eggs might at least be discovered.
