Warden's is in need of a few good men! Well, actually, only one. But the need is still there. That's right, we're searching for the next Warden of Warden's Weyr. However, as this is an extremely important plot position, it won't be as simple as our giving it away to the first person who asks for it. The process will be a bit more complex, in hopes of our finding the best man for the job.
In the form below, you'll find a number of questions. If you want to enter a character for the position of Warden, you must PM lithle with both a complete character profile and the answers to the questions below. When we have at least three entries, or after the hatching (July 15thish), whichever comes last, we'll decide on a player for the role. However. There are quite a few rules and guidelines that come with this role. Those are in the post below. Read those and be sure you can follow them before considering applying.

Rules and Guidelines Character Rules
1. The Warden must be male and a bronzerider. (Yes, I know, but the Watch is like that. Give things time, we hope to switch them up.) 2. He must be a member of the Dragon Watch in good standing. 3. He must be at least 35. 4. Personality can be whatever you like but must be the sort of person one could expect to be appointed to such a role. A laid back dreamer who never completes his work is unlikely to be sent to run Warden's. Roleplaying Rules
(Note: If any of these rules are broken, or if the character is simply not working out, the Watch will 'recall' the Warden and we'll have them send another. This is not a joke. There will be no second chances. The Warden is too important for the plot to mess around.) 1. The character must be active. At least one thread actively posted in a month. And if you're doing the bare minimum every month, we'll look into recalling the character. The posts must be with this character, we're not concerned with your general activity, but with your activity with the Warden. 2. In Character Actions will have consequences. M'onk will still be around to observe. If the character goes too far out of line, he will be recalled. Player Guidelines(Again, if you can't abide by these guidelines, the character will be called and another Warden will be sent.) 1. Flexibility! Yes, being in character is great but with a character who guides the game, the fun of everyone comes first. Do you really think Warden would have allowed a beach party? No! But it was fun, so we made it happen anyway. 2. Powertripping is bad! This is not an admin position. The Warden's power is solely IC and if we see it abused the character will be recalled. Any actions that might affect someone elses character (banning them from standing, for example) must be cleared with the Admins first. 3. Communication. We'll need to talk to you. Probably a lot. 4. Reliability. Does your muse tend to quit on you? Do you disappear for weeks at a time? Have you done it before? That's fine. We understand. But it's not fine for this role. We need you here, and active, and in touch with us. So, if you've shown a habit of such things in the past, or will in the future, this isn't a good role for you.

Questions!
These must be answered and PMed to lithle, along with a completed character profile. Please note, it's okay for said characters to go against current practices. Note the earlier 'flexibility' and realize we'll be in discussion with you about how to make things fun for everyone despite and because of upcoming conflicts. Indeed, keep in mind that the Dragon Watch is much more traditional than Warden's, though your character may be different than his fellows. 1. How does your character feel about the Warden's Weyr practice of allowing squads be led by anyone who shows ability, regardless of their dragon's color and their gender? 2. What is your character's view of the criminals? 3. How does your character feel about letting criminals stand? 4. How does your character feel about the irregular colors? 5. How does your character feel about Warden's Weyr not having the positions of 'Weyrleader' and 'Weyrwoman'? 6. How would your character want to change Warden's? 7. What are your character's plans for the escaped prisoners still at large? 1.
