Mine! There are bugs everywhere!
H'und, I'm getting dirt on my feet!
H'und, it's too hot!
Truthfully, Coreth was just trying to get the quiet man to talk. Maybe it was the insufferable heat or the fact that the blond was just sitting there and watching the prisoners go about farming, which was intensely boring, but H'und seemed even quieter than usual.
The small bronze hunkered down next to His, snorting as he laid his head on the man's leg. H'und? His response was the man reaching up to scratch his head before wiping off some of the sweat that was gathering on his forehead by just being there. He felt quite bad for the prisoners, and thought it would be much better of him to not be sitting here as a guard but instead, you know, actually working. It was just so hot...He couldn't image how tired and hot they must all be.
It was so hot...Letting his head drop down, the blond blinked groggily before he closed his eyes for a few moments. Soon, however, he was nudged by Coreth, who had quickly snaked his head around to make it look less like the blond was not looking at the prisoners like he was supposed to. H'und? Will you please watch the prisoners? Lifting his head to look in to the face of the dragon, he gave a smile before nodding. Course, Coreth. Maybe you should talk to one of them so you don't get tired. Um. Or not You should!

Working was something Farrox enjoyed, surprisingly. It provided a lovely distraction from the thoughts that constantly bounced around in his head. Yes, work was distracting. Though, today he wasn't enjoying work. Today Farrox wanted nothing better then cool water and shade, but neither would come to him at the moment. He was -working-! Working very, very hard! Even if he felt like he was going to fall over and die!
However, a thin and weak man can only work for so long. Especially in humid heat such as this! So it was really no surprise when his legs began to shake and he finally gave up... it was so hot, and he was so tired! Maybe if he hid behind a rock they wouldn't notice him sleeping? He didn't was to disappoint anyone... but he was very, very tired. Sleepy eyes scanned the area around him, and he dully noted the Bronze dragonet that was watching the prisoners.
Then Farrox gave up and sat down in the dirt, a soft frown touching his face as he ghosted his fingers over his badly, horribly sunburned face. Albino and not wearing sun screen? Farrox was going to get skin cancer before the age of thirty at this rate!

H'und scanned the field, frowning when he saw the albino, wondering who in Faranth's name had decided that it was a good idea for him to be working. Standing, he was about to suggest to Coreth that they go get the prisoner to take a break before the poor fellow collapsed. From where she was around his neck, Seer squealed, quickly fluttering over to the exhausted albino to lick his face. Oh dear! One of them was hurt! Crawling on to Farrox's head, she keened at Hers while grooming the white locks, seeming worried for the man who she had only knew existed moments ago.
She was soon joined by Coreth and H'und, both of who appeared worried. While the Bronze flared his wing out to shade the small man, His crouched down, offering a hand to the fallen man. "Are you alright?" Pausing, he realized this was a very stupid question. See, it's things like that which make it so hard for him to be a good, productive member of society. Or maybe it just made it hard for him to be not socially retarded. "C'mon, you should get rest before you faint." Hopefully, Farrox would take the offered hand.

Farrox's unhappy expression changed into one of childlike delight as the firelizard approached, lifting pale hands in an attempt to stroke her wedge shaped head. Oh, she was so pretty! "Where's your bonded, pretty?" He questioned in a soft voice, only for his question to be answered by the sudden arrival of the weyrling. This was not good.
Pink eyes lifted to stare at possibly the most terrifying man poor Farrox had ever seen. He was HUGE! Farrox flinched away, covering his head with his arms and averting his eyesight as he'd always been told. He wasn't supposed to look dragonriders in the eye, especially bronzeriders! Even if they were just weyrlings. He whimpered almost pathetically. "I-i'm sorry! I'll get back to wor-" Wait, what? Take a break? He looked fearfully up at the rider, as if not understanding. "I don't understand..." Oh, but he needed to take the hand or he'd be hit! He didn't want to be hit. He shyly lifted his hand to allow himself to be pulled up, though he would leap away from H'und as if he was fire a second later. "I'm sorry" He mumbled. Yes, apologies work. Apologies were good and they kept pain away.
His eyes drifted to the dragon again, and fierce longing popped into his eyes. How he'd love to get closer to that Bronze! He'd never seen a Bronze close up... even a really small one like this was a breathtaking beast. Was this one of the senior weyrlings? Weren't Bronzes supposed to be bigger then that? Oh, he felt horrible for thinking that! He was sure that the Bronze was just as big as his fellows!

Seer cooed softly at the albino, chewing on his hair delicately, looking up at Hers and trilling worriedly. The poor man was...Well, she didn't know, but he was on the ground, and that was bad. Deciding that she should care about the little man, she wrapped herself around his neck, nuzzling him, because she thought he was adorable; like babies!
H'und frowned slightly at the complete shock before the albino let him help him up. "Why are you apologizing?" He didn't think the albino had done anything wrong and, by the way he was acting, the kid was just squeaky and shy. Poor guy. "Can you walk okay?" H'und frowned, glancing at the bronze dragon who had come closer to him, spotting a golden opportunity to force His to interact with others of the same species.
Hello, small one. I am Coreth, and this is mine. His name is "H'und." The blond interjected, seeming a bit...used to this. Coreth inclined his head, confirming his name was indeed that. And he's much nicer than he seems. What's your name? Looking at the ground, it was obvious that the blond was more than a bit embarrassed by his dragon. Um, what are you doing? What? I thought you found men attractive... I-You-This-It. He didn't even know what to say, and Coreth took this as surrender. Swinging his head around, the bronze blinked at the albino. Don't be shy. Speak up.

Farrox wasn't sure how to react to the firelizard beyond smiling in a dazed manner. He'd never been approached by a firelizard before! Usually they just clinged to their owners and ignored the albino who watched them with the fiercest longing he could muster. Probably because they only came over if their owners did, and their owners were very, very scary! So scary that he ran away and hid from them!
"B-because y-you're a d-dragonrider and a-a man and i-i'm bothering you and p-p-p-please d-d-don't hit me... sir!" He squeaked the sir out last, having added it as a second thought. The question made him hesitate as he shakingly took a step forward. "Y-yeah... it's just h-hot and i've been working all morning..." He said this in an extremely uncertain way... before trying to side-step closer to the Bronze.
He squeaked when the dragon spoke to him, jumping. "H-h-h-hello, Coreth! I'm Farrox..." He paused before outsretching his hand, giving the bronze an uncertain look. "Um... c-can I touch you? You're very handsome..." He merely gave the newly named H'und a freaked out look.

The shorter man was given a confused look. "Um...I'm just a person." When the albino asked not to be hit, H'und appeared a bit alarmed. "Why would I hit you? That's ridiculous. You haven't done anything wrong." He was so confused; he wasn't a very scary person, he didn't think. Seer chittered at him, seeming to find that it was unacceptable for him to be scaring the man that was her baby for today. Cooing, the flitter nuzzled his neck, quite pleased with herself. Meanwhile, the bronze inclined his head to the albino. Greetings, Farrox. It's a pleasure to meet you. Right, Mine? H'und was bumped less than gently in the shoulder by the dragon before he nodded, mustering up a small, unsure smile. "Um, yeah."
Coreth seemed to straighten a bit at the comment; he wasn't a cocky dragon by any means, but the compliment was rare, and he was more than happy to accept it. An amused rumble came from his throat as he stepped closer to the small man, bending his head so it could be easily reached. Of course, small one. He so did like being appreciated. It was quite nice!
