L’ust
Philip Glenister
Philip Glenister
Name: L’ust (previously Lalust)
Age: Thirty Four
Gender: Male
Prisoner: No
Crime: …
Craft/Rank: Dragonrider
Appearance: L'ust has a tough has nails appearance, and isn't the kind of guy anyone would want to mess with. His face is very round, and his skin has been scarred from a fight with a bronzerider. His lips are thin, and always turned down slightly. This, along with the fact he frowns a lot, gives him the appearance of one who has been through much and that no one elses problems even compare. Often his lips are stuck out in a pout, which does make him look very thoughtful.
Not the thinnest looking person, L'ust has a rounded look. Although he is very strong, he has fat on his body which makes very comfy, and he has, on occassion, been called 'Cuddles'. Of course, at 6ft 8, L'ust doesn't look as overweight as he would have been at 5ft 5. L’ust walks with a limp caused by a scar on his left leg.
When L'ust does smile, it is usually in a soft, wistful manner. It is a rarety that he smiles fully, and you can tell from the fact that he has no laughter lines on his face. L'usts eyes are a saddened blue-grey, and his hair is a mousy brown with natural blonde highlights.
Personality: The opposite to his name, L'ust will never do things out of lust, unless it is that of a Flight. He is level-headed, and calm for the most part, but when something irritates him, don't expect to come away from him with his ear-drums, or your body, intact. His anger is like the wrath of a god. When he's happy, he doesn't show it, but a person would be able to tell by how light-hearted his voice is.
L'ust is a hopeless romantic, and even though he will act like a tough pig-headed guy who just wants to get a woman, or a man, into bed, he isn't, and is actually quite shy and timid in the romantics area. It isn't something he is used to, or experienced in despite his age, and is the reason why he hates dragon Flights. Were it not for Ith, L'ust would lock himself in a room away from everything and stay there until Pern stopped turning.
Young children in pain, or just crying are one of L'usts many 'one weaknesses'. He would do anything to stop a child crying, providing it doesn’t mean he’s doing more harm than good.
History: L’ust was born to a bronzerider and a drudge from Benden Weyr. For the first twelve years of his life, things were good, until he began to Stand. He was a candidate until twenty years of age, when his father’s dragon, who was extremely elderly at this point, over exerted himself in a Flight and passed away. L’usts father was left behind, and within three weeks of the dragon passing on, the ex-bronzerider began to take Dust.
L’ust stepped down from Candidacy that same year, hoping that having someone to talk to would prevent his father from taking the drug again. Of course, L’ust underestimated the addiction, and a year later, his father overdosed on the drug and passed away. With only his mother left, L’ust took care of her until another hatching came around.
That day, L’ust was sat in the Sands, next to his mother. All eyes were turned to the largest egg of the tiny clutch. It had no golden sheen, but that didn’t mean that it couldn’t be a bronze. As expected, cracks began to show on it first, but the dragon that hatched from it was brown a very large brown admittedly, but only a brown none the less. He ignored the candidates, and turned his head to the Stands.
He chose L’ust then, but refused to eat until all of his siblings had hatched and Impressed.
Eleven Turns later, and a mating flight turned disaster. It was a Gold dragon flying, and Ith was winning (much to L’usts displeasure), one of the bronzes, mad with Flight Lust, lashed out at Ith. Angry, the brown fought back before eventually the bronze went Between forever. Ith was too injured to carry on flying, and half-landed, half-collapsed to the ground.
Whilst his wounds were being treated, L’ust had a battle of his own on his hands. The bronze’s rider went crazy and attacked L’ust, managing to grab hold of a dagger long enough to cause damage to L’usts leg which would give him a permanent limp.
Both rider and dragon weren’t blamed for the death of the bronze, but once they were healed, they were transferred to Warden’s Weyr ‘for their own safety.’
Other stuff: I might think of something later.

Ith
Name: Ith
Color: Brown
Age: Twelve (if I did the math right)
Appearance: Thirty Five feet in length, and a very rich brown. His hide is marred by many scars one of which means that he can’t fly as well as a normal dragon, but it doesn’t ground him completely.
Personality: Ah Ith, the gender confused brown. Although he chases Greens and Golds like any normal male dragon, he is very mothering towards babies, eggs and hatchlings of any species. Often in his life he has been asked to guard green flitter clutches, and he does so as fierce as a Gold would. He tends to get very attached to his flitter friends, and constantly begs His for one.
As for when around prisoners…Hah! What prisoners? Ith treats every prisoner like his best friend, and if it weren’t looked upon oddly, he would even let one snuggle up to him whilst he tells them a story. He is especially fond of the weak ones, the ones that far too frail to look after themselves when put with the big strong prisoners.
Ith is one giant softy. Even though he's huge, he's still extremely cute, no matter what he looks like.
EXTRA: Ith can't fly in the wind.
