In a world where magic and monsters are real, and islands and cities can sink, float, and levitate, anything is possible. Centuries after the last recorded "Hatching", an event in which chosen individuals are led by an unseen force to a place where mystical eggs are kept watch over by a Guardian, it is widely believed that the Guardians have died out, and that Hatchings were just a myth. Until a Reaper by the name of Docu shows up, claiming a stretch of wild land as his own, and protecting it's inhabitants decides to follow his family's heritage, and begin the Hatchings all over again. In a world ravaged by piracy, war, politics, and religion, will you choose a side? How will you survive? And what will you hatch?
