Tall places were usually not an issue for H'und, what with nearly being seven feet tall. Even if he couldn't reach something, Coreth could, on most occasions. However, there was, currently, an issue that could not be resolved. That issue included a tree. You see, the problem with not being all thin and lanky was that lower branches usually broken when you tried to grab them, and one wasn't always agile enough to jump up to get a branch that, well. Wasn't going to break the minute you put all of your weight on it.
Stuck up in the tree was a very dismayed Seer. The green had managed to smack in to the tree while flying carelessly and chittering to her bonded, and was now stuck above the rider's reach, creeling sadly. For the most part, the scrapes were superficial, but the spoiled firelizard seemed to think they were the end of the world, flopped on the branch and just looking all around miserable.
When things were out of the Bronzerider's reach, usually, Coreth could handle that. Simply push it over, or something of the sort. However, it was quite obvious why one couldn't just push over a branch on a tree where a firelizard was. So, H'und was having issues, pacing near the tree and trying to think of something. He didn't want to leave; Seer would certainly hate that, and he was sure she would refuse help if he even looked like he was thinking about going off.
"..Can't you just jump? I'll catch you!" He was trying to reason with a flit. He was going insane.

F'ox didn't take walks often. He was usually too busy, given his new training kept him occupied for most of the day. Other healers had turns of training, starting from when they were young children. F'ox had only known how to read for a year, and to say that the lessons took up a good deal of his time was an understatement. At least, he thought, Snowth didn't have to do as much work as her siblings. She spent much of her time helping him with his studies. It was so much easier to study when he could discuss it with Snowth.
So, it truly was pure luck that he spotted H'und. F'ox was ready to turn and retreat in the other direction, before a shot of alarm echoed over his link with Snowth. Coreth's seems distressed. Soft hearted as Snowth was, she couldn't bare to see a rider in distress. She shyly reached out mentally to Coreth, her eyes whirling yellow. Coreth, your rider seems upset. What is wrong?[/b] She liked H'und and Coreth, even though her rider was frightened by the large bronzerider.
F'ox sighed. Why did Snowth have to get him involved in this? H'und was scary! He wasn't nice like Orren was!
Crypt, meanwhile, was curious about the injured flit in the tree. He Betweened to her side, landing on a branch and crooning a question to her. Rage... was Rage, and thus could care less.

H'und, in his, uh, distress, did not notice the pair approaching. "Seer, really. It's alright. Just...Can you fly? You can Between if you can fly!" The pleading question was answered with a loud, impatient whine. "...Please? I'll catch you if you jump, too!" Augghhh he was going to go die somewhere. Things were just not going well. And by that he meant things were going terribly. The bronzerider really wasn't having a good week. Month. Year. Something like that.
Hello, Snowth and Snowth's! Coreth rumbled out the greeting, having been lounging in the water. The water was much preferred to dirt, so, the fact that Seer was stuck near a river was somewhat relieving. Though...There was mud. At least that mud was clean. Probably. It was in water, wasn't it? Seer is stuck in the tree. Mine is quite unsure how to get her down. Why was he seemingly less upset about this than H'und?
Why, because he could force H'und to socialize for a bit now. There was no way that the Green was getting down without help, after all. Mine! Say hello to Snowth's and Hers! Look, I really think that F'ox doesn't like m- Because you're always scowly and angry! You know, people would absolutely love you if you smiled more! I doubt it.
Still, he looked away from where Seer was in the tree, though, he looked quite worried. "Um. Hi. Do...You have any ideas how I can get her down?" He needed to get her down! She was the only person who could stand him besides Coreth.
Meanwhile, Seer chattered miserably at the bronze flit that had landed next to her, wings fluttering weakly. She wanted pity, and she certainly wasn't getting enough from hers, who was just standing down there and saying frantic, worried things at her.

. . .
There was a damsel firelizard in distress?
Why, that's terrible![/b] Snowth's eyes whirled yellow a bit faster, the green peering up at the stranded green. Well, not stranded. Spoiled. The poor dear. What ever will you do? Snowth let out a sad little whine. F'ox, it seems his firelizard is stuck in the tree.
"... I'll get her down." Wait, wait. What? What did F'ox just say? He was shocked with himself, really, but, the poor thing looked scared! F'ox shifted, a frown on his face. "I mean... I d-don't want her to get hurt." What if she fell? Then she would get hurt!
Crypt was very happy to pity Seer, crooning reassurances and even reaching out to pat her head with his paw. Da'aw. Poor Seer. Crypt thinks that's it's mighty brave of you to... uh, be a damsel in distress.
Rage still doesn't give a shit.

You know what? It was terrible! H'und was very glad that Snowth seemed to realize that. What will you do, Mine? "I don't know!" He seemed extremely worried, rubbing his arm unsurely. W-What if Seer was stuck up there forever and ever? That was, honestly, what he was afraid of. His poor baby!
F'ox's offer was...surprising, of course. Really surprising. In fact, H'und didn't respond for a while, though, after a few moments, he attempted to give F'ox an honest smile. He didn't smile very much, so the expression was...different. A bit unsure and quite fleeting, but, it did convey the thanks it was meant to show. Sort of. It was just as likely that it would just frighten F'ox to see the Bronzerider he was afraid of smiling.
"A-ah? Really? You would? Thanks! I mean, really! She flew in to the tree and oh, I hope she hasn't broken her wing or anything." Coreth, meanwhile, was delighted. His was talking to someone and it only took...his firelizard hitting a tree. Oh well. Thank you, Snowth's. Mine and I would be very greatful if you would.

Oh man. He was smiling at him. That obviously meant F'ox's impending doom.
Or maybe that H'und was just thankful. Either one.
Snowth, can you give me a boost? F'ox asked, doing his best not to look at H'und. Inwardly, he was terrified. Not of the bronzerider, for once, but instead for the firelizard in the tree. What if she was hurt? F'ox would give her all the hugs. All of them.
You seem remarkably calm, Coreth.[/b] Snowth remarked, even as she stepped forward and crouched so that F'ox could clamber onto her back. The poor dear. Crypt seems to think she's in great pain, but I think he's just being melodramatic. Snowth remarked privately to her rider, even as she stood straight so that her rider would not fall from her back. The green pressed her side against the tree, ignoring the branches at poked her.
F'ox grabbed onto a thick branch, before hauling himself up with notably shivering limbs. He'd never climbed a tree before! Why, he was doing all sorts of new things since coming to the prison. The albino looked down at the ground below him, barely stifling a yelp. Too high! Too high! He squeezed his eyes shut. With Snowth, it was different. He knew she would never drop him... but here, in the tree, he was absolutely terrified.
F'ox took in a breath. He could do it. He couldn't just leave Seer up there all on her own. After all, she must be even more terrified then he was. Otherwise, she'd have just betweened back down when she hit the tree.
"S-seer. Come here." He wrapped his hand around a branch, holding his free hand out to the green. "Come here, pretty. Don't you want to come down?" His voice, now that he was just talking to green, was much more calm. His teacher had told him that if he sounded scared, the thing he was trying to help would be scared too. "There are toys down here." He tried to make his voice sound as soothing as possible, inwardly hoping that it didn't sound as frightened as he feared.
Crypt had decided he was going to help, and he nudged the green to try and encourage her to go to F'ox.
Please, please don't let her bite me.

If H'und had known F'ox was afraid of him, he would have probably stopped smiling forever. Seriously, why did the person he want to be friends with think he was so...scary? However, H'und was just very happy, oblivious to the fact F'ox was scared of him. "Are you okay? I mean, are you sure you'll be alright?" He was worried, though. Trees weren't meant to hold people. Well, he knew they weren't supposed to hold him.
Coreth paused, waiting a moment before deciding to speak to Snowth. I really shouldn't, but, you know, she isn't hurt much, and...Well, Mine is talking to yours. He's not very social. It's very nice to see him talk. He was sure that Snowth could understand that. F'ox wasn't very social either, though, for different reasons than His.
Seer was in the throes of her own tragedy. Hers was going to go in to severe depression and commit suicide, because lovely little her hadn't been saved! When F'ox made an appearence, she trilled happily. Her savior! For a moment, she laid there, pausing her trilling before creeling saddly, lifting her paw unhappily. It didn't look very injured, but, she obviously thought it was.
For a while, she didn't move. However, when Crypt nudged her, Seer wiggled forward in to F'ox's grasp, wings drooping even farther.

If F'ox had known that H'und would have stopped smiling forever, F'ox would be sad. "I'll be fine!" F'ox called down, his voice much braver then he was. He could do this! He was a good dragonriders, and good dragonriders saved things! Even if that thing was just a firelizard, it meant he was good. Besides, he couldn't bare to see anything in pain or fear.
I see. I suppose that's reasonable.[/b] It was perfectly fine to be happy for ones rider, and Seer didn't seem to be badly hurt. Snowth could understand Coreth's point of view rather well, all things considered. She was always so happy when her rider made a friend... though Snowth did prefer to spend her time in small groups rather then huge social situations.
F'ox frowned as Seer lifted her paw, though from his angle he... really couldn't see anything wrong with it. But when the firelizard crawled to him, he was happy to pick her up and cradle her against his chest, smiling down at the green. "See? Much better then being in the scary tree." He assured her, his voice gentle. He was careful not to jostle the bruised firelizard as he very carefully began the trek down, doing his best to not break into tears from fear. Going down was much worse then going up.
Eventually, he reached a point where Snowth could lean her side against the tree and he could step onto her. The second he climbed from the dragon onto the ground, it was obviously how relieved he was. He was sweaty and even paler then usually, and his hands trembled as he reached out and offered the firelizard to H'und.
"I... I don't t-think she's hurt bad. Only bruised." F'ox's voice trembled, the albino shivering now that he was back on the ground. Crypt flew down from the tree and perched on his shoulder, rubbing his head against F'ox's cheek. He crooned some reassurances. Rage, who had been on F'ox's shoulder during the entire fiasco... did not care. Bravo, Rage, bravo.
You did very well, ridermine.[/i] Only now did Snowth's eyes whirl blue, replacing the fevered yellow that had earlier colored her eyes. She had been frightened as well.

It was not an exaggeration to say that Seer flung herself towards her Bonded, fluttering to him and crooning. H'und was, of course, estatic. "Oh, sweetheart! Are you alright? Are you okay? Did you get hurt? I'm sorry that I couldn't help you!" The green creeled saddly, though, she obviously enjoyed the nuzzling that followed. Looking up, the blond smiled happily at F'ox. And it was a smile! Not some pathetic attempt, but, an actual, pleased smile.
"Thank you! Are you alright? Thank you for helping Seer! She's okay! I think. Probably. I'm rambling. Thanks!" So much happiness, too! Seer crooned at her savior, tugging on her bonded's shirt and pointing her head towards F'ox. H'und was quite confused, actually, until the Green leaned farther out of her arms to chirp at the Greenrider. Unsurely, the blond took a step forward, which allowed Seer to get close enough to lick F'ox's cheek affectionately.
"But, um, really. Thanks. I thought she was going to be stuck until she fell asleep so I could leave without her panicking to get help. Oh, and thank you too, Snowth!" She had helped, after all. Coreth, meanwhile, finally stepped out of the water, moving to first touch muzzles with Snowth before moving to sit by his, noting the dirt on his feet and storing it in the back of his head to remind His to make him some nice shoes. Thank you, Snowth's and Snowth.
