WENRYNN
Name: Wenrynn
The Only Name She Uses: Rynn
Age: 28 Turns
Gender: Female
Prisoner: No
Crime: The crime of hunting ghosts?
Craft/Rank: Ghost Hunter // Tracker
Appearance:
If one were to meet anyone else as down to earth as Rynn, then they’d better find that person under the earth, buried. She’s also very honest, but don’t think she’ll bring things on simply at first. She’ll throw things right out there because, underneath it all, Rynn’s about the bluntest person you’ll ever meet. Yes, down to earth and blunt. Add in that little honest part and you’ve got someone who might have done well as a marriage counselor or someone with the same thought processes going on in their heads. However, add in her seemingly unending need to find ghosts and you’ve got something quite like a force of nature.
Rynn has a love for ghosts. It’s not just a like or a hobby, it’s a lust. She loves looking for ghosts. As such, she’s taught herself not to be afraid of the various bumps in the dark. In fact, she loves the dark and she loves finding things… in the dark. She’s rather adept at tracking things, as well. She’s actually seen ghosts. People might call her insane, other people might wonder what’s going on in her mind, and a third group of people might actually want to figure out where ghosts were and how they could see them.
When people meet Rynn they’ll notice a deceptive grace. She walks with light steps and knows how to sneak around. She knows how to walk quietly. She’s a great sneaker when it comes to getting around at night. Quite a few people have been scared when she suddenly ends up behind them, having not been there a moment before and having not made a sound to sneak up. She is bold like that, able to say her mind and end up where she wants.
[/ul]History:
Father: Dukenyn, 53 Turns, Tanner
Siblings: Duinyn, 25 Turns, brother, Tanner
Winna, 23 Turns, sister, Harper, father: Lionor
The eldest of three children, Wechinne gave birth to Wenrynn at the age of nineteen. The rest of her children came fairly quickly after Rynn’s birth, with Duinyn being born only three Turns later and Winna two Turns after that. Winna was conceived by a different man named Lionor, but until the girl grew up, no one really knew who the girl’s father was. Being the oldest, a lot fell on Rynn’s shoulders and she shouldered a lot of it with little trouble. Being the oldest was actually not all that it was brought up to be. In fact, she was just a normal little child. She watched her younger siblings when she grew older, but at the age of ten Turns, she was sent off to be a Tanner. She wanted to be a Tanner; it was in fact a life dream for her much like younger kids on Earth dreamed of being mothers or doctors when they grew up.
Slowly, though, Rynn learned that Tannercraft was not for her. In fact, she began to hate going to work on her tanning things. She tried; she really tried to keep her head around the tannery tools, but she could not. She never went back to Tanning when she turned away from it. Instead, she knew that she wanted to run, to track, and to do ‘great’ things. Being a messenger wasn’t fully a job. But she felt that’s what she needed to be. At the age of twelve, she became a messenger. She studied under the Harpers and the Beastcrafters alike. She did not learn to sing under the Harpers much like she did not learn how to birth animals by the Beastcrafters. Instead, she learned drum signals and how to ride the animals she would use to bring messages from place to place.
But what really interested Rynn was when she went to the wilderness with only a few materials and learned to live off the land. She became an expert at finding tracks, at living on her own. No one knows where her interest in ghosts came from, or how she knew exactly what ghosts where, but one day her runner spooked. She was adept at the runners by now and knew that it was nothing she had done to spook him. Her mind was probably not in the right state, for she blinked and wondered what would happen if the runner were to spook again. The next day she came back with the same runner. He spooked again. The next day another runner. It spooked, too. She wondered.
She began spending the nights there, sleeping in that spot and wondering what she had found. Then she saw it. Illuminated by the moonlight of Pern’s two moons, she saw a figure. It was standing there, just standing. It looked at her, it seemed. Beseeched her to see her. And that, that was when Rynn, only fifteen Turns then, realized what she wanted to do. She wanted to bring these invisible people, these ghosts to justice.
She was enthralled with the idea of hunting ghosts. She wanted, without a doubt, to speak to them, to wonder what was happening to them. Where they between? Where they dead?
It is an inexact art, ghost hunting, even on Earth. She was a pioneer in this art, and she was, and still is, probably the only person to ever think about hunting for ghosts in the first place. Pern’s belief was that people just died or people betweened, no one had thought that lives were still tethered to the world after death. Not even she had known but when she found it she loved it.
Rynn was not ever really accepted by any Weyr or Hold; she kept moving from Hold to Weyr, even a few cotholds allowed her to stay for a time, but she usually travelled to places that were the oldest and had the most deaths. If she were to find something, a personal encounter maybe, or something else, she stayed longer and tried to debunk her claim or tried to help the spirit. Spirits who’d betweened were far more understanding than those who had merely died.
Ghostflight, Rynn’s small white firelizard, was born only a Turn before coming to Warden’s two Turns ago. Startled by her white hide, Rynn named the female-leaning white Ghostflight. It was the knowledge of Warden’s that brought her to wondering if the spirits of the dead Dust takers stayed. She had a burning desire to find out everything about these such things. So she went to Wardens firstly as a tracker (if prisoners escaped she would be there to track them) but secondly as a Ghost Hunter. She’s been here for two Turns.

WENRYNSK
Name: Wenrynsk
Color: Blue
Sin: Greed
Hex Code: 0097FC
Desc:
Lawdy lawdy, why he so pretty? When Wenrynsk walks by, the ladies stop to stare. The young male is built gracefully, rivaling a feline in his fluid movements. His basic hide color is a light blue that rivals Virtue's shell, but it very rarely appears on his lovely form. Like his sister, he is in possession of a husky marking, it and his body decorated in dark spots that almost resemble bubbles on his frame. Blue stripes also decorate his tail, but that isn't as interesting. The cool part is that wherever a blue spot is, so is a bump on his body... run a hand over his hide and you'll feel multiple soft bumps, each decorated with dark blue.
Personality:
Oh jeez... what happened here. Wenrynsk is the air to Rynn's earth, the breeze to her rock. Where she is firmly rooted to the earth, he has his head up in the clouds. Without her guidance, the greedy creature would surely drift away without his rock to anchor him. He believes anything she tells her readily, worshipping it like a certain brown dragon. Ghosts- ghosts are real, and he'll bite anyone who disagrees and calls his handler crazy! On every crazy ghost search, Wenrynsk will be right behind Rynn, telling her about how he'll beat up those meany ghosts for scaring people.
Of course, the selfish little critter won't do it out of the good of his heart. He's a greedy little sonuvazalmask, and the second he's promised something he'll do whatever someone says. He especially loves shiny things, and Rynn will have to frankly tell him that hording is bad and he cannot keep his trove of treasures underneath his bed. However, Rynn is his greatest treasure of all. He hordes her compulsively, and if Rynn ever wishes to double impress she'll have to spend many sevendays trying to convince him to let her. Of course, tell him that the wherlet will belong to him too and he'll be all for it.
He's a compulsive liar and kleptomaniac, though his lying is interesting. When someone asks him a direct question he will always tell the truth, but he will come up with ridiculous stories about how his day had been. Like how the ghost of faranth had klah with him, and then engaged in a dramatic battle with Rynn until Wenrynsk turned on Faranth and defeated her in a duel. The kleptomania is straight up. He sees something. He wants it. He takes it.
He's an adventurous creature, one that constantly needs to be going on an adventure... especially if it'll earn him renown. He cultivates fame like he does items, and with this wher Rynn is sure to become a famous ghost hunter... he'll settle for nothing less for him and his handler. They'll be the very best, like no one ever was. To catch ghosts is their real test, to exorcise them is their cause.
Why Me?
GHOSTS, GHOSTS. Wenrynsk is an eccentric, a creature that will believe anything his handler tells him. Further more, her down to earth and honest personality will keep Wenrynsk from running off with strangers- something this blue most certainly needs. He's also going to be easy to rope in on her ghost hunting adventures... since he's sure to get a reward if he scares the ghosts away. In turn, Rynn will hopefully be able to control his kleptomania and compulsive lying with her honesty- being a good example to the little guy and all that. Without her, he would have never impressed- he needed someone to go on adventures with him and make him feel important... and to teach him that lying and stealing is bad. Hopefully honest Rynn can do just that.
RYSK
Name Rysk
Color Green
Sin Envy
Hex Code 38FF11
Desc
She's a delicate creature, amusing when compared to the bronze who often followed her. She's tiny, with long legs and an almost undernourished frame. No matter how much Rynn feeds her, she's always like that. She's missing most of the bumps of a wher, but where she does have them, she's determined to make it work. To the point of gettin Rynn to paint them pretty colors, because she's jealous that her sisters are prettier then her. Her hide is a bright green, darker green stripes covering her. Unfortunately, the stripes can't seem to decide if they want to be horizontal or vertical.
Personality
HEY, WHY DOES WENRYSK GET THAT!? RYSK WANTS IT! Rysk doesn't want things, normally. But if someone else has it, boy does she want it. Like when Rynn gives Wenrysk a treat, Rysk wants one too. When she sees Ira fawning over Bellatrisk, she marches up to Luxuria and demands he fawn too. She wants what others have, though once she has it she has no idea what to do with it. Part of this behavior stems from extremely poor self esteem- she thinks that she only deserves something if it's a hand me down. To cover up her poor self esteem she constantly boasts about being the most awesome wher ever, and unfortunately for those around her Luxuria usually pops up and encourages her.
Rysk loves adventure. Rynn and Wenrysk, adventurous and fearless creatures that they are, might even shy away from some of the crazy crap this green does. Like go toe to toe with a dragon because she heard they're hiding treasure, or stick her head in a wherrys mouth just from the rush of it. She's an adrenaline junky, stemming all from the rush she got when attacked by Ira. However, she has a cowardly side. This only shows itself when Ira rears her head... Rysk is terrified of her. She will always skitter behind one of her three protectors... and once safe behind them, she taunts Ira. She isn't very smart, you see.
She's suffering from kleptomania just like her greedy brother. Obviously, this is very bad for Rynn. While Wenrynsk hordes things, Rysk is constantly looking for his hordes to break into them. Surprisingly, when she isn't robbing him blind they get along well together. They pretend to hate each other, having huge arguments... but when it comes down to it, Rysk will beat up anyone who messes with her brother and vice versa.
She and Luxuria have an interesting relationship. She's the only wher he cares about outside of lust, and she loves to tease him. Anything and everything is something to tease the big bronze about, and when not with her handler and bond partner she will be found snoozing on the big beast. Unfortunately, if Rynn doesn't do something about it, his indulgent ways will spoil her rotten and have her thinking that she deserves the stuff she steals from people.
She is going to be insufferable for male whers during runs, as she adores to tease them. She will stop and pretend to let them catch her, only to use those long legs to dart away at the last second, laughing at them. But she is an absolute sucker for romance, something down to earth Rynn will have to inform her isn't very likely for a wher. Any male that starts to treat her special before her run has a much higher chance of winning, because he'll make her melt. Likewise, she is incredibly fond of pranks. Her favorite victims will be Warden and Wenrynsk, the first of which she must be strongly discouraged from bothering. He might ground her up and use her for wine.
Why Me?
Rynn offers something Rysk loves, an adventure! She doesn't really believe in ghosts that much, but Wenrynsk and Rynn can make a believer out of her. She'll be the first to lead them off on an adventure, squealing about how much fun it will be. Likewise, Envy and Greed are two sins that go hand and hand. Despite how angry Greed will be at first, he'll warm up to her and treat her as one of his own possessions just like he does Rynn.
