"Hey, Greboth. Please don't bite me. I promise I'm nice." If promises were marks, people would be rich - but Siata was the sort to actually keep hers. And shells, Serdek actually smiled at her, more then what a person would normally be able to say about the former prisoner who just preeeetty much snarled at the huge C'ross. Siata's grin widened, because she got a smile, and that dragonet went down and Serdek's arms opened.
The Smithcrafter stepped closer and hugged Serdek tight. Although not exactly tall, the yellowrider was solid enough so Siata didn't feel as if she would crush her to utter smithereens with the squeeze. "Congratulations, seriously," she murmured just loud enough for the other woman. "You and your girl look me up at the forge when you get time, okay? I mean it." She pulled away and the smile softened to something less emoticon-esque, and squeezed Serdek's shoulders in affection before stepping back and away.
Siatask's so big and bad. Siatask muttered towards her handler. The bulky green sunk her head down to peer at Greboth, the other little creatures wandering around. Yellow woman and Greboth welcome. Forge hot. Siatask's distracted.
Prisoners near weapons and coals, it's a brilliant idea!
Yes. Siatask's not bitch. Siatask be smart, help. Shush. Then, to Greboth in particular. Fierce yellow ugly. Siatask approve.

C’ross followed obligingly after Siata, for the moment willing to be led wherever the green wherhandler was taking him. But the barely-concealed hostility in both Serdek and her rider did not go unnoticed. He was making the both of them nervous just by being there – and he was completely aware of it. Siata probably wasn’t… then again, who could blame her for not noticing, given how excited she was?
It didn’t make the situation any less awkward.
He glanced away, looking for familiar faces and finding none. The new weyrlings weren’t people he knew, not closely at any rate. Seeing someone around the prison didn’t necessarily equate to knowing them, not on any meaningful level. Nor did C’ross see many adult dragonriders; if one of his former wingmates was around, he could at least approach them as a point of familiarity. Why had he let himself be dragged along to this thing again? Oh right. Siata.
Who was now… hugging Serdek. And murmuring sweet nothings in her ear or something? Faranth almighty this must be what it was like to hang around him and I’saac on a good day. It was definitely getting to be obvious-third-wheel territory. He cleared his throat softly. “I’ll leave the two of you alone for now. I’m sure you have a lot to talk about.” Perhaps not the most graceful of exits, but better than hanging around like a dead fish.
He made his way towards the refreshments, snagging a cup of fruit juice and watching over the crowd in relative silence. In the back of his mind Merceth stirred, reached out and brushed a wave of affection across his rider’s mind. No matter what else might happen, no matter what the outlaws might attempt next – this group of weyrlings would be safe. The riders of Warden’s would make sure of that.

Obeth returned the greeting with a croon of his own and joined the grey in corralling his rider's legs. The other hatchling surely had a reason for doing so, so there was no harm in helping. Jaden would have to deal with having two dragons prevent his escape from a social situation.
At Passith's words, Obeth let out a surprised hiss and drew his head back. His eyes turned from green to orange as his alarm grew. Who would take away a dragon from its clutch? Were there other hatchlings there as well?[/b] he asked in a dismayed tone. If there were, then there would need to be a rescue mission for the others. They must leave no man behind!
S'nar jerked in surprise at the sudden rush of emotion, nearly dropping his plate. What was going on? He stumbled back as he automatically tried to determine where the inevitably bad thing was happening and how he could get away from it. It was only after he narrowly avoided bumping into C'ross that he remembered that the voice belonged to his dragon. It would take some time to get used to that.

Jaden wasn't exactly how to deal with is own tiny dragon. Adding the brown to the collection of hatchlings keeping him in place made things all the more off-putting. The practical thing to do would be to step forward, but he stayed in place, not willing to approach the other man, even if they were having a conversation of sorts.
Passith, meanwhile, was dealing with more attention than he quite knew how to deal with. Not that he minded, exactly, but the other dragons were asking about bad things. Things he didn't even fully remember, as everything prior to Jaden was touched by a haze, all anxiety and pressure and a sense of need and searching.
We were not, sister. I hatched before, somewhere else. And then, speaking to both Obeth and Greboth, The bad ones took me and others. I came back for mine. The others, I don't remember. Maybe theirs were with the bad people.
